Who is who?
Binjing is governed by several institutions, each with their own responsibilities. This page gives an overview of who does what.
The Premier
The province of Binjing is led by Premier Binero. The Premier sets the direction of the province and leads the Central Government. The Premier can be replaced at any time by the People’s Congress through a simple majority vote. The Premier cannot be removed without a replacement, to ensure continuity of leadership.
The Central Government
The Central Government is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Binjing. It is made up of the Premier and a Cabinet of Ministers, each responsible for a specific area of governance. The Premier appoints and dismisses Ministers.
- Minister of Administration: Ollixster. Responsible for tax collection, citizenship records, and Party finances. Acts as Party Secretary for any Local Unit without one.
- Minister of the Villagery: schoolpretzel. Responsible for managing Binjing’s villagers, villager rights and maintaining the farms that support the Villagery.
- Minister of Public Works: fuib. Responsible for spatial planning and the appearance and upkeep of the province.
The People’s Congress
The People’s Congress is the deliberative body of the Communist Party of Binjing. Every Party Member, whether full or probationary, is a member of the Congress. The Congress is where the Party deliberates on the issues that affect the province, and where consensus is formed on priorities, projects, taxes, and foreign affairs. The Congress alone can replace the Premier and confirm or remove Party Members.
The Congress is led by President Karo_Dostoyevska. The President is responsible for the functioning of the Congress. For more on how the Congress operates, see Congressional Procedure.
Local Units
Local Units are the subdivisions of the province. Each is led by a Party Secretary, who represents both the Central Government and the Party within their Local Unit. Party Secretaries collect the Dwelling Tax, implement policies from the Central Government, and serve as the link between their residents and the rest of the Party.
The current Party Secretaries are:
- fuib
- schoolpretzel
- Binero
- GinaBee2
- CCannibal
- Ollixster
The Premier decides how the province is divided into Local Units and appoints Party Secretaries, usually in consultation with the People’s Congress and the residents of the Local Unit.
